23 November 2011: The World Bank has launched a new Climate Change Knowledge Portal as part of its Open Data Initiative, which links users to over 250 climate indicators and includes visualization tools depicting temperature and rainfall scenarios to the year 2100.

16 November 2011: Eight initiatives to promote biodiversity management in the Amazonian areas of the four Andean Community (CAN) countries have won co-financing in the first round of selection by the Competitive Fund of BioCAN, the regional biodiversity program created by CAN and the Government of Finland.
16 November 2011: The Government of Grenada, financed by the Climate Investment Funds (CIF) and the World Bank, with technical support from the Global Facility for Disaster Reduction and Recovery (GFDRR), organized an information sharing workshop to discuss the problems and solutions of sharing geospatial data to improve disaster risk management in the Caribbean.
18 November 2011: The UNFCCC Secretariat has launched a new online portal to enable governments, institutions and interested persons to access information on fast-start finance for responding to climate change. The portal aims to make more visible and transparent the financial support provided by developed countries to developing countries to help them reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and adapt to climate change.
17 November 2011: The Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) has approved a US$150 million loan to expand wind energy generation in Latin America. The loan will support the construction of four wind farms, three in Brazil and one in Uruguay, expected to add 546 megawatts of wind energy capacity to the region by 2014.
