UNFCCC Releases Submissions on Framework for Various Approaches [viewed]

11 April 2012: The UNFCCC Secretariat has released the submissions from 12 Parties (FCCC/AWGLCA/2012/MISC.4), two intergovernmental organizations, and 19 non-governmental organizations (NGOs) (FCCC/AWGLCA/2012/MISC.5), containing their views on a framework for various approaches, including opportunities for using markets, to enhance the cost-effectiveness of, and to promote, mitigation actions, bearing in mind different circumstances of developed and developing countries.

Mountain Partnership Meeting Addresses Sustainable Development in Argentine Andes [viewed]

15 March 2012: Argentina held a national committee meeting and workshop in the context of the Mountain Partnership's "Strengthening participatory governance for sustainable development of the Andes" project. Participants examined a national mountain assessment report, and outlined an action plan and set of goals for strengthening participatory management in the Argentine Andes over the next 18 months.

FAO Assessment on Teak Highlights Decline in Natural Forests [viewed]
