22 April 2013: The Global Water Partnership (GWP) held the First Dialogue on National Development and Water Security in the context of Climate Change Adaptation to consider the linkages among water management, climate change adaptation and sustainable economic growth in Peru.
15 March 2013: Peru's Environment Ministry (MINAM), the UN Development Programme (UNDP) Low-Emission Capacity Building Programme, the German International Cooperation (GIZ) and Ecofys' Mitigation Momentum Project organized a technical workshop on developing Nationally Appropriate Mitigation Actions (NAMAs) for three sectors and roadmaps for their implementation in Peru.

28 February 2013: Approved by it's Board of Directors on 27 February 2013, the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) will administer a US$5 million grant program to support implementation of the portion of Guyana's Low Carbon Development Strategy (LCDS) devoted to expanding microfinance for micro and small enterprises in low-carbon sectors (LCSs).

11 December 2012: The Organization of American States (OAS) has announced the 14 recipients of small grants under the Energy and Climate Partnership of the Americas (ECPA) "Sustainable Communities in Central America and the Caribbean" project.
21 November 2012: Officials from the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) and the Latin American Energy Organization (OLADE) met to discuss cooperation between the two agencies on projects related to renewable energy.
