Event: Quantifying and Managing Land Use Impacts of Bioenergy [viewed]

Jointly organized by IEA Bioenergy and the Brazilian Bioethanol Science and Technology Laboratory (CBTE), this workshop aims discuss land use change impacts of bioenergy production, and provide strategies to mitigate them. Specifically, it will look at methods for quantifying direct and indirect land use change, recognizing further land use impacts of bioenergy such as in greenhouse gas accounting and renewables programs, and finally how to minimize the lands use impacts of bioenergy. Expressions of interest in participation should be sent by 15 March 2011. The deadline for submission of paper abstracts is 30 May 2011.
