Expert Meeting on a Range of Approaches to Address Loss and Damage

This expert meeting on a range of approaches to address loss and damage associated with the adverse effects of climate change, including impacts related to extreme weather events and slow onset events, is being organized by the UNFCCC Secretariat.

CBD Eastern Tropical and Temperate Pacific Workshop to Facilitate the Description of EBSAs

The Eastern Tropical and Temperate Pacific regional workshop to facilitate the description of ecologicallly or biologically significant marine areas (EBSAs) is convened by the Secretariat of the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD), in collaboration with the Secretariat of the Permanent Commission for the South Pacific (CPPS). It will include one day of training on the application of CBD EBSA criteria and a four-day workshop.

ECLAC XXXIV

The 34th Session of the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC) will consider the theme “Structural Change for Equality: An Integrated Approach to Development”. A document on the theme prepared by the ECLAC Secretariat will serve as the basis for a High-Level Seminar and Dialogue on development issues. Governments will also review ECLAC activities over the concluding biennium and consider and provide guidance on the proposed work program and calendar of meetings for the next biennium.
