Consultation on Gender Equality in LAC: Discussion on Priorities and Strategies to Influence the Agenda

To respond to the issue of gender inequality, including discrimination of women and violence against women, The World We Want 2015 Website features a consultation process on gender equality in Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC). The consultation aims to initiate an exchange of views on how the post-2015 development agenda “must include gender equality as a priority”. The consultation is divided into different discussion blocks. The last discussion will focus on priorities and strategies to influence the agenda. It will follow and build on elements discussed during the first blocks of the consultation on: progress and challenges for achieving gender equality in the region; structural roots of inequality, discrimination and violence; capacities to make choices; and participation, impact and power.
